In the vein of Little Miss Sunshine and Rushmore, EGGY is an ensemble piece that weaves together stories of both kids and adults, in a suburban New Jersey Catholic school. At the center of this cast of characters is Eric Schultz, a 12-year-old genius with a large, egg-shaped head, dubbed "Eggy" by his cruel classmates; Billy Collins, a soccer superstar, who is struggling with the pressure that comes with being perfect; and Mark Lowsack, Billy's soccer coach with his own personal, though imaginary cheering section, who can't let go of the glory days when he was the Billy Collins of St. Peters prep. Absurd, hilarious and ultimately poignant, EGGY is about how people form connections and end up saving each other.
